Aged Care Scholarships: Nursing Postgraduate

Scholarship

The Aged Care Scholarships will allow for up to 400 additional scholarships per year for three years, for personal care workers and nurses to complete qualifications. There will be up to 100 allied health scholarships per year for up to three years, which will be for allied health professionals to focus on dementia related qualifications.

Length of Support

Graduate Certificate - paid over two part time semesters. Graduate Diploma - paid over four part time semesters. Masters - paid on a per semester basis, the amount will be determined by your study load.

Scholarship

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) is designed to encourage and assist undergraduate students in health-related disciplines to complete their studies and join the health workforce. The scheme provides scholarships for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people studying an entry level health course.

Full time scholarship awardees will receive up to $15,000 per year and part time recipients will receive up to $7,500 per year.

Length of Support

The funding is paid in 24 fortnightly instalments throughout the study period of each year.

Mental Health Nursing, Allied Health and Psychology Scholarships: Allied Health Continuing Professional Development

Scholarship

The Mental Health Nursing, Allied Health and Psychology Scholarships Program is an Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care initiative. The program provides a range of scholarships for mental health nurses, allied health professionals and psychologists to undertake studies in mental health related fields.
